I have been home since April 1st. It's hard to write a blog about traveling when you don't travel. This usually doesn't happen to me but I've enjoyed the time at home. My wife on the other hand is ready for me to leave. Me being home cramps her style I think. I was gone one night this week. It's a start. Next week is about the same.
Even though I have been home, I've been on the lookout for things. In small town Indiana, there is plenty to see and write about. For example, we were driving to church last week and drove by this sign
Read that marquee really slow to yourself. Nothing says were open for business quite like taunting your customers and calling them out. After you put those letters up, don't your read aloud to yourself? Don't you have any other letters in your kit add something to that?
Recently I attended an auction with my dad and some friends. Auctions are great for people watching. It was cold and rainy so that brought out the real crazies, including this guy
Notice the braids in goatee? To each their own in how to wear your facial hair but this was something I had never seen. Not to mention he is standing beside a Jedi Knight at a Farm Auction.
So you see, my life has still be turning even though I have not left the friendly confines of small town Indiana. I am hoping, and my wife, that I will be back on the road soon enough to bring you the commentary you have come to expect.
Look for some guest post from some colleagues of mine. Their adventures are to good not pass along.
